Carol was born in a little town outside of Moncton, New Brunswick called Lakeburn (aka Dieppe). Carole has been painting and drawing since a very young age. She spent many weekends and vacations camping along the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario with her family. The memories of her childhood inluence her work along with the process of gathering reference material, sketching or painting on location and creating in her studio.
Carole’s work has evolved from apsiring to create realism toward focusing on a more romantic construction of simple elements. Carol enjoys working where not every step is planned and controlled. She explores the impression of a landscape while inviting the viewer to share with her a pause in everday things and memories that it triggers In their own selves.
